Being a mom doesnt allow one to have a holiday or even a rest day. We all that is an understatement.
Im a control freak. After a year of giving birth to my 2 year old toddler, i had an opportunity to work in a network company.
I resigned after only few months of being a corporate slave for a "simpler" job in this world, to be a hands on mom.
The joys of being to watch your child smile, sleep, talk, take the firts step, eat the first food and other more wonderful things are not enough to be an "achiever." Everytime i check on my facebook page and see how far other people have reached, I felt left behind.
Thank God for homebased jobs, as soon as I resigned for work, I immediately got one.
I found a job as a web content writer for a hotel website with the likes of tripadvisor and agoda.com.
Having flexible schedule is a huge advantage of moms working at home compared to moms working in a office. It saves time, energy and allows more time for family.
I have been working with the company for more than a year now. I am more than greatful for accepting me and being part of the company. But im having problems of time management lately.
First thing in the morning, i cook breakfast and prepare pack lunch for my husband as to save money. I work few hours and stops when my toddler wakes up. Few more hours are chop off from my working hours to pave way for feeding and bathing. After the morning toddy rituals, i can go back to work for few hours. When its lunch time, i have to stop working to feed her then back again and so it goes on the whole day.
I had a babysitter before but only stayed for few months.
Im not complaining. They say, a stronger and more stable family is result of someone taking care of it. I just wish there is more than 24 hours in a day. Just so i can do more.
